THE TALE OF THE THREE BROTHERS
This is one of the proofs that J.K. Rowling isn’t just “the Harry Potter author,” but instead, she is really an author. She deserves the title.
Just like an actor who doesn’t let one of his famous roles put his real name and performance in his beloved craft in shadows, as he continues to reinvent himself, jump from role to role and still manages to give the same kind of stellar performance… J.K. Rowling is the same, in her field of writing. Yes, it is true that Harry Potter will tag along with her for the rest of her life due to its immense success, but that’s all it will be for her name: it’ll tag alongside her name, but never really overtake, grab the spotlight and make her name forgettable.
J.K. Rowling has really made a name for her own. And The Tale of the Three Brothers is one of her greatest works, aside from Harry Potter, of course. :)
